TL;DR FUCK GENERATIVE AI WE DON’T DO THAT SHIT HERE

I’m just one person. One person doing everything with brand. All the graphic design, website design and maintenance, video editing, social media interaction, creation of products.

Everything.

I, much like most of you who’d be reading this, am struggling just to make time for hobbies, buried under bills, and the crushing weight of societal horseshit. My grandfather once said to me “If you have the choice between doing something the hard way, or the easy way, at least do it the hard way first. That way when things get easier, you’ll appreciate it even more”

Generative AI is the easy way out.

I could probably put all my video clips and images through some AI system and make perfectly polished content. That kind of content is nothing more than a polished turd. In a world of perfect polish made by heartless machines, I choose to make blurry, haggard nonsense with my own sweat and tears. I choose to bang my head against the wall trying to write a script or figure out why Illustrator won’t draw a line in a certain direction. I choose doing shit the hard way. Spite is one of the keystones of Ashtray Industries for a damn reason. I’m doing EVERYTHING alone here. At the very least, I’ll have plenty of experience for actual jobs, versus letting a computer make my decisions for me.

And I will do it the fucking hard way.
